Athletics NZ South Island Colgate Games
Date: Friday 14th – Sunday 16th January 2022
Venue: Surrey Park, Glengary, Invercargill
- There are two Colgate Games events every January – one in the North Island (Wellington for 2022) and one in the South Island (Invercargill for 2022)
- Athletes aged 7-14 years registered with any athletics club are able to attend either event
Event Format:
- The games run from Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon – with relays being the last events of each day
- On the Friday morning there is an Opening Ceremony and Marchpast where teams from each club parade in front of the crowd
- You compete and enter through your athletics club and must pre-enter (entries will be open from November 1-26)
- Athletes wear their club uniforms and bibs
- Athletes can enter up to five events plus relays
