This is not a decision we have taken lightly. However, the ongoing Alert Level status in Auckland means the event cannot be arranged as planned. We have other North Island centres who remain in high alert levels so the prospect of asking another centre to step in at late notice is not practicable.

With the South Island being at Level Two, the SI Championships are still able to be held and those North Island Centres who are also at Level Two will be able to enter.

Looking ahead, Wellington has the NZMA Champs in March and we are confident the vaccine roll-out will by 2022 have reached a stage where the whole country will be allowed to participate again.
