Senior Club Night: Most Wednesdays, 6:00pm at Mt Smart Track in Penrose throughout the summer season. This involves a series of timed events from the 60m sprint to 5000m on the track depending on demand. Ages not mentioned
Senior Coaching: We will also offer coaching on demand and some of our coaches squads will train at this time.
Club facilities available to members: We are based out of the brand new Mt Smart Track in the summer track and field season and Cornwall Park Cricket Club for the winter distance running season
Winter Season:
- ACA event manages two Cross Country races. This includes the inter-club events ACA Southland Centennial Relays (click on above for details) and ACA Pairs
- From April to August there is a series of 7 Junior Relay events specifically designed for Under 14 and younger athletes hosted by various clubs across the Auckland region. These normally involve 3-4 junior athletes in a team with each athlete running 2-3km.
- NZ Road Champs
- Get Ready for the Junior X Running Club for 8-12 year olds, starting on Mondays 4:30-5:30pm in term 2 This is ‘old school’ at its best as we explore all the different trails through Cornwall Park with a mix of hills, sprints, fence climbing, tag bull rush and more; all led by super coach Brent Foster https://brentfoster.co.nz
Auckland City Athletics Club was formed in 1998 from the merger of several centrally located Auckland athletic clubs. This modern collaboration culture drives the philosophy of the club as captured by our club purpose below.
Also we offer all JUNIOR primary and intermediate school athletes a FREE transfer in October to the summer junior track and field club of their choice after they complete the winter and cross country road part of the 25.26 season with ACA.
If your child is currently at secondary school, they are welcome to join ACA. For those secondary school children wishing to compete at the Colgate Games, we have confirmed with Athletics NZ that they are eligible to compete under ACA membership.
