Dick Quax Memorial Meeting

Eleven year old Leo Green set an Auckland Boys’ 11 2000m record of 6:27.45, breaking Zane Powell’s 2008 record of 6:29.30.
Yandri Fourie (15) set an Auckland under 16 2000m race walk record of 10:13.04, breaking her own record of 11:01.00 set at the North Island secondary schools championships in April.
Charles Buchanan (19) debuted over 5000m winning the Dick Quax memorial race in 14:56.20. Fionn Cullinane who had provided the early pace was second in 15:24.47 and Connor Jamieson third in 16:56.92.
Lisa Cross (40) won the women’s 5000m in a PB 16:39.78, just 10 seconds shy of the New Zealand masters W40 record. Olivia Rooney was next in 18:54.38.
Marielle Venida was a clear winner over 100m in 11.81 +0.4 from Talia Van Rooyan 12.05 and Cleo Loader 12.77. Loader was out to 5.18 +1.0 in the long jump. Miya Stott 100m 12.85 +0.4 PB, 200m 26.63 +5.2 and Kate Borton recorded 2:19.23 in the 800m.
Ethen Lagatule won the 100m in 11.41 +5.6 and Noah Retford the 200m in 23.22 +1.9 and the 110m hurdles .914 in 15.56 +2.5. Timothy Wallace dominated the 800m in 1:58.84. Joseph Dunn followed up a 110m hurdles .991 in 15.03 +2.5 with a second in the 100m in 11.45.
Matthew Aucamp 800g JT 43.94m, Junior Lupena 41.49m. Kaelan Paranihi collected the long jump with 6.88m +3.3, also 6.83m +0.7 and the high jump clearing 1.95m. Jayden Williamson was over at 1.90m and Kalani Mullins 1.80m. Connor Brady 5kg SP 12.99m PB.
