ENTRY DATE CHANGE

Due to the latest Government COVID-19 advice and the implementation of the proposed traffic light system we have decided to push back our entry opening date for the 2022 Colgate Games to Tuesday 9 November, from the originally planned date of Monday 1 November.

As previously planned event entries will close on Thursday 25 November. There will be flexibility around the timing of entry fee payments, which we will clarify once we have more information.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Entries open on Tuesday 9 November and close Thursday 25 November
The entry process is the same for both the North and South Island Colgate Games
Conditions of entry and meeting rules can be found on the Colgate Games website
Athletes aged 7-14 years registered with any Athletics club are able to attend the North and/or South Island Colgate Games
Athletes can enter up to five events, plus relays
The entry form is available here. You can share this with your members (printed or digital version)
To enter athletes, your club must be affiliated to Athletics New Zealand, click here for more information
Your club secretary will be responsible for collating all entry information and managing the entry process
The games run from Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon
Children wear their club uniforms and age bibs
All entries are managed centrally by Athletics New Zealand

ATHLETE ENTRY PROCESS

The entry process is the same for both the North and South Island Colgate Games. This process is detailed below.

Login Details
If your club has completed the affiliation process with Athletics New Zealand, you will automatically receive a username and password for the Colgate Games online entry site. This will be sent by your Centre secretary. If you do not receive these login details by Monday 8 November, please check your affiliation or contact your Centre secretary. You can find their contact information here.

Affiliation
If your Club is not affiliated, you can complete this process here. Once this is done, your Centre secretary will be informed and they will send you login details. You can then log into the Colgate Games online entry site and submit your athletes’ entries.

We recommend setting the deadline a week before entries close on Thursday 25 November, for everyone to send their entry forms back to you.

ENTERING YOUR CLUB’S ATHLETES ONLINE

Below are the instructions to follow when submitting your club athletes’ entries to the online site:

Login using the username and password details sent by your Centre secretary
Sign the waiver on behalf of your club
Complete your club’s details
Enter all your athletes into their selected events
Enter your relay teams
Enter your merchandise requirements

You may go back into the site and edit all details up until entries close at midnight on Thursday 25 November.

Late entries will not be accepted so please ensure you check your entries and make sure you have included all your athletes.
