MEETING RULES
The meeting rules help us to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, and to deliver the North and South Island Colgate Games successfully.

These have been revised for 2022 with help from Athletics Southland and Athletics Wellington.

The 2022 meeting rules for both events are available to view here.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Athletics New Zealand, in conjunction with Athletics Southland and Athletics Wellington, has set up the conditions of entry for the 2022 Colgate Games, which can be accessed via the links below:

North Island
South Island

Entries open Monday 1st November and close at 11:59pm on the Thursday 25th November 2021. If you have any questions about entries please contact competitions@athletics.org.nz.

OFFICIALS AND VOLUNTEERS
Athletics Southland and Athletics Wellington need qualified officials and enthusiastic volunteers to help ensure the events are delivered successfully.

If you or anyone you know are keen to be an official or volunteer at either of the Colgate Games, please register your interest by clicking on the links below.

RACE WALKING FOR YOUNGER AGE GROUP
Athletics NZ in partnership with Race Walking NZ are pleased to be offering a new exhibition event for younger athletes at this years North and South Island Colgate Games.

Race Walking has long been available for athletes aged 10 and over but it’s great to be able to introduce this discipline to a younger age group. Athletics has something for Every Body and race walking might just be the event your child has been wanting to try.

Athletes under 10 years of age who would like to give race walking a go will be coached for 10 minutes and then take a lap of the track alongside some race walking stars. There will be no timing or place getters in this event, it’s just a chance to give it a go. If your child is keen, make sure to tick the box on the entry form when it comes out.

ATHLETICS FOR EVERY BODY CAMPAIGN
The athletics for every body campaign has kicked off, with radio and digital ads, digital billboards thanks to Go Media, and stories starting to appear in newspapers around the country and online.

A reminder that there is a toolkit of materials available for your club to use here. If you need any support to update these with your club information please contact us at communications@athletics.org.nz and we would be happy to help.

STAY UP TO DATE
Follow the South Island and North Island Colgate Games event pages on Facebook.

In the meantime if you have any questions please contact us on competitions@athletics.org.nz and we will direct your query to the appropriate team member.
