Upcoming Officials Seminars
Official’s Seminars.
A new series of seminars will commence this Sunday afternoon and run for 4 weeks. The seminars, although designed for people looking to attain C Grade, are also suitable for those seeking B or A Grade when done in conjunction with some additional reading.
All seminars commence via zoom at 2 pm.
Documents for each seminar will be sent out before the seminar.
However, there are several documents that need to downloaded or printed:

Sunday 21 November 2021.
General rules (those applicable to all event types), Safety and Police Vetting.
Prior to the seminar attendees who have not registered with Athletics NZ need to go to https://athletics.org.nz/get-involved/official/ and complete the official registration. There is no charge for this.
All seminar attendees are now required to go through the police vetting process in line with ANZ and AAI policy. ID Verifiers & Types of acceptable Document. One primary and one secondary document is required.

The details are entered via the ANZ Official’s database. As are the results of the C Grade assessments and B and A Grade exams.

Expected duration: 2 hours.
Sunday 28 November 2021.
Track seminar. Due to Covid we cannot do a real walkabout but we can have a less tiring virtual one as part of the seminar presentation.
The handout notes and any other documents will be emailed to the attendees in the week prior to the seminar.
After a short break to print the assessment off, attendees complete the assessment in an open book / discussion forum.
Expected duration: 3 ½ hours.
Sunday 5 December 2021.
Throws seminar.
Sunday 12 December 2021.
Jumps seminar.
A similar format and time frame as for the Track seminar for the final two seminars.
It is not necessary to attend all 4 seminars. However, if you want to do either Track and/or Throws and/or Jumps you must attend the first seminar.
